Buildings in cities still looks as if they were pasted into the scenery, which they are. As stated earlier, the buildings look too crisp and clear compared to the surrounding streets. But what can be done about it?

Something that I really appreciate very much, is the staff of programmers behind Flight Unlimited. They seem to have a special sense of humour. Throughout all the editions they have revealed their passion for flying. Also, I think, they have a very 'romantic' approach when implementing all the features.

Then came the FU III, and I had high hopes about photorealistic sceneries from Seattle to San Diego. Ok, you can fly that far down, but only in a texture landscape, which do not have the quality as known from the Microsoft simulators. But still, flying from Seattle to San Francisco in a photorealistic environment is at least something, right? Well, IF you kept the San Francisco scenery CD's from FU II.

In FU II the appearance of the aircrafts were not too impres-
sive, but is now brought up to standards in FU III. Excellent.

The FU III instrument panels in the newly added aircrafts are terrific and really photorealistic. It's a joy to fly e.g. the Beechjet 400A with all its well designed gauges.

A shame it is though, that the old FU II aircraft panels are transferred to FU III, without being revised in any way. They look quite obsolete compared to the new ones.

Another brilliant feature in the FU III simulator is the lessons, where you have an experienced instructor in the seat. Just try a motorglider lesson:

1) From the main menu, choose 'Flight Training'
2) Choose 'Weather Training'
3) Choose 'Lesson 5 - Thermals & Mountain Lift'
4) Choose 'Instructor'

Now lean back and enjoy the flight while listening to the instructor.
